| Your sub-title on the cover does you a
great injustice.....it should read..."A novel based on
historical evidence plus an enormous anthology of evidence proving
she did not die July 2, 1937. "The serious research done |

displayed.....good show!!! |

“A 115 pound blonde daredevil…with a warm smile,” Amelia Earhart
was not only one of the first women in America to |
| wear long pantsand fly
airplanes, she’s also been the subject of dreams, fantasies, legends, and
rumors, for almost three-fourths of a century. |
| Now,
fortunately for history buffs and the thousands of Earhart fans and followers
around the globe, Carol Linn Dow has written a fascinating novel based on years
of study, research and dedication. Along with the tale of what “actually”
happened, Carol includes a comprehensive overview of the many books, films,
theories, testimonies and letters that have helped “solve” the mysterious
disappearance of the aviator – (she would have preferred that title to
“aviatrix”) -- in 1937. |
|
Carol Linn Dow was kind enough to describe my late husband, Fred
Goerner,
award-winning CBS broadcaster and author of The
Search for Amelia Earhart (Doubleday) as “the best of the Earhart
researchers.” After Fred’s book came out in 1966, he was flooded with calls
and letters; an incredible amount of “information” poured in from literally
hundreds of sources. He soon came to recognize the con artists and phonies from
the motivated researchers who were searching for truth, not dollars. Carol Linn
Dow was among the latter, and one of the finest. Fred had tremendous admiration
and respect for her. |
|
Were he alive today, he would applaud Carol’s perseverance and
commitment to accuracy. Though the final, documented answer to the fate of the
famous flyer may not be revealed in our lifetime, this is as close as it gets.
Whether one is an Earhart fan, a history buff, or just someone who enjoys an
amazing story, well-told, this book is highly recommended. The author writes
with a confident style, fluent, and easy-to-read. And wherever he is, I have no
doubt that Fred Goerner is looking down at The
Lost Flight of Amelia Earhart” – and smiling.

Author and historian Carol Linn Dow has shown me that she is a writer with The
Right Stuff! Her in-depth research has opened up a Pandora's Box of facts
on Amelia Earhart that has been crafted into her book with the art of an Agatha
Christie novel.
Author Dow's book is a written novel but is based on a strong fabric of
historical evidence. Many never-before seen photos, interviews, radio logs and
much more give added support to the content.
Dow's book challenges the best Earhart researcher to rethink and
reinvestigate their own theories of Earhart's disappearance. By the time the
reader has completed reading the twelfth chapter, a picture is virtually painted
by this author/historian in a timeline of the dramatic life events of Amelia
Earhart. Dow's keen sense of logic and a sharp eye for collecting details tends
to reveal the resolute facts of Earhart's disappearance.
Fans and followers of Amelia Earhart's life and disappearance owe it to
themselves to definitely read Dow's book. "The Lost Flight of Amelia
Earhart" may be purchased at www.AmeliaEarhartBook.com.
